Ingredients
▢ 6 cups water
▢ 4-5 tbsp tamarind soup base powder mix or 1 1/2 packets sinigang mix (adjust accordingly)
▢ 2 tbsp sea salt to taste
▢ 1 cup chili pepper leaves
▢ 3 bunches bok choy leaves or other vegetables you like▢ 2 lbs shrimp
▢ 1 medium onion, sliced
▢ 2-3 medium tomatoes, sliced
▢ chili pepper (optional)
Instructions
In a large pot, boil water.
Add onion and tomatoes. Cover and boil for at 3 minutes.
Add the shrimp. Simmer until shrimps are cooked. Do not overcook. Shrimps cook very quickly.
Add the tamarind seasoning powder, fish sauce and chili pepper. Stir and cook for 30 seconds.
Add the vegetables. Submerge the vegetables in soup. Cover the pot and turn off the heat.
Serve with steamed white rice.
